Saturday Febuary 19th saw Falcon host round two of the Sports Centre League (Div 1) at Hucknall Leisure Centre, after a positive second place finish in round one, Falcon again equipped themselves very well against the counties top clubs. This time, although finishing in third place overall behind Sherwood A and Bramcote A, the result should consolidate Falcon's second place in the league going into round three on April 2nd.

It was nip and tuck for the majority of the night with the lead changing hands race by race, it was not until the final third of the races that Sherwood  managed to open up a clear lead and eventually running out winners by 20 points.

Leading the way on the night for Falcon were Senior club captain Imogen Gould and 11 year old Amelia Sale who both acheived three victories apeice with some impressive swimming. Imogen's came in the 15 & under 100m Breaststroke, 4x1 Individual Medley and the Ladies 100m Butterfly whilst Amelia finished 1st in the 11 & under 50m Butterfly, Breaststroke and Backstroke.

Falcon's other winners for the girls were Megan Geoghegan in the 13 & under 100m Freestyle and 100m Breastroke, Alex Nightingale in the Ladies Open 100m Freestyle

For the boys wins were acheived by Prentice Dawn in the 13 & under 100m Freestyle and Rhys Taylor in the 11 & under 50m Butterfly.

 The boys and girls 11\13 yrs relay teams both recorded victories, the boys team being Rhys Taylor,Jarrod Davies, Kieran Davies and Prentice Dawn and for the girls the team was Megan Miles, Amelia Sale,Megan Geoghegan and Emily Waldram.

Second places were acheived by Imogen Gould in the Ladies Open 100m Breaststroke and for the boys Rhys Taylor in the 11 & under 50m Backstroke, Kieran Davies in the 13 & under 50m Butterfly and Jarrod Davies in the 11 & under 50m Breaststroke.

One of the highlight's of the night was Head Coach, Callum Lawson's return to the pool in the Mens Open 100m Breaststroke. Cheered on by the majority of the Falcon squad at one end of the pool, Callum came home in a time of 1.17.57. After several hours (once he had got his breath back) Callum commented " that the overall result was very pleasing with many swimmers acheiving personal best times again. it should give them plenty of confidence going into next week's County Championships."

Full Result : Sherwood A 193 PTS, Bramcote A 173 pts, FALCON 166 pts, Worksop 162 pts, Mansfield A 135 pts, Calverton and Bingham 112 pts.
