Falcon's 2011 Minor Gala League campaign saw them host the first of three gala series on Jan 15th at the Hucknall Leisure Centre. Hoping to build on the success of last year Falcon's youngsters again performed extremely well against strong opposition. The gala was nip and tuck all the way between Falcon and local rivals Mansfield A, the result was finally decided on the last race with Falcon being edged into second place by a mere one point.

Out of the forty eight races on the night Falcon claimed 1st place seventeen times and 2nd place eleven times.  Megan Geoghegan again showing her class winning the 13 & under 200m Freestyle, 50m Backstroke and 50m Butterfly. The other victories for the girls were Kirsten Gilding, 12 & under 50m Breaststroke, Amelia Sale, 11 & under 50m Butterfly and Megan Miles, 11 & under 50m Freestyle. Leading the way for the boys was Prentice Dawn with two wins in the 13 & under 200m Freestyle and 50m Butterfly, with one win each was Joshua Pearson, 10 & under 50m Backstroke and Jarrod Davies in the 11 & under 50m Breaststroke. Wins were achieved for the girls in the 11, 12  and 13 & under 4x1 Freestyle and 4x1 Medley relays, the teams were 11 yrs Sale\Miles\Sophie Melvin\ Jessica Howarth, the 12 yrs Emily Waldram\Gilding\Rhiannon Taylor\Sale, the 13 yrs Gilding\Libby Straw\Geoghegan\Waldram. The boys 13 & under team of James Terry\Joe Lidgett\Sam Murden and Dawn were successful in the 4x1 Medley .

Second places were achieved by the girls 10 & under 4x1 Freestyle relay team of Elise Connor\Ellie- May Gunn\Maje Felton\Howarth, the boys 11 & under 4x1 Freestyle team, Kyle Raison\Davies\Pearson\Taylor, the boys 13 & under 4x1 Frestyle team Terry\Raison\Lidgett\Dawn, the boys 12 & under 4x1 Freestyle team Rison\Sam Murden\Davies\Sean Waterhouse. Individual 2nd places for the boys went to Kyle Raison in the 11 & under Freestyle, Rhys Taylor, 11 & under 50m Butterfly, Joe Lidgett , 13 & under 50m Breaststroke. For the girls, Kirsten Gilding in the 12 & under 200m Freestyle, Emily Waldram in the 12 & under 50m Backstroke and Amelia Sale in the 12 & under 50m Breaststroke.
